Q. i have owened a 2 litre R reg mondeo since new, when then the car was about 14 months old,the cat needed to be replaced. Since this was not a common thing ford replaced it free of charge even though it was out of warrenty. In june this year the cat went again
i took my car to national tyres for a new cat, after about 2 months it went again so i took the car back, the guy at national said because of the cars history, before he would replace the cat, i would need to get my engine management system checked out which i did at my local ford dealer, they said all was ok so i had my cat replaced under it's guarantee. that was in june this year, it has gone again, i would be grateful if someone could help me out with this problem

A. This is way beyond my expertise. I would advise taking the matter up very strongly with Fords as it looks as though there is an underlying problem which is causing the cats to fail. You will have to be persistent as they are not known for their customer service. It may be worth paying for an independent expert's opinion.
