Q. We have a Renault Prima G reg, it has an automatic gear box with a problem.

The engine starts fine, and the gear stick moves up and down ok, but when you go to put it in to drive, or reverse, 1st or 2nd, nothing happens, like it thinks it is still in park.

We have tried topping up the oil in the gear box, but this had no effect. We are wondering if the fuse could have gone in the gear box?

The thing is, we do not know much about cars, and we are loathed to take it to a garage as they might charge us the earth for a simple problem that we could fix ourselves.

Any information or advice you could give us on how to change the fuse in the gearbox, (where it is located on the car & what type of fuse to get) or any other reason that you think it could be, would be very much appreciated!
