We have a Renault Prima G reg, it has an automatic gear box with a problem.
The engine starts fine, and the gear stick moves up and down ok, but when you go to put it in to drive, or reverse, 1st or 2nd, nothing happens, like it thinks it is still in park.
We have tried topping up the oil in the gear box, but this had no effect. We are wondering if the fuse could have gone in the gear box?
The thing is, we do not know much about cars, and we are loathed to take it to a garage as they might charge us the earth for a simple problem that we could fix ourselves.
Any information or advice you could give us on how to change the fuse in the gearbox, (where it is located on the car & what type of fuse to get) or any other reason that you think it could be, would be very much appreciated! |

After fixing problem on horn contact ring now find air bag dash warning on constant whilst driving. Ford dealer advised to disconnect battery for 1 hour-did not work. Is there a re-set button somewhere? Connectors and wiring checks out OK. Help please |

i have owened a 2 litre R reg mondeo since new, when then the car was about 14 months old,the cat needed to be replaced. Since this was not a common thing ford replaced it free of charge even though it was out of warrenty.In june this year the cat went again
i took my car to national tyres for a new cat, after about 2 months it went again so i took the car back, the guy at national said because of the cars history, before he would replace the cat, i would need to get my engine management system checked out which i did at my local ford dealer, they said all was ok so i had my cat replaced under it's guarantee. that was in june this year, it has gone again, i would be grateful if someone could help me out with this problem |

Today is 12/25/2002 and my daughter received a fingernail kit for Christmas and she got nail glue on her cotton pants, is there anything out there that I can get to take the stain out and the hardness of the glue? |

i own a 1998 Lexus GS 400 V8, i have a couple of questions that i need your help on:
1. i went through a dip too hard and hit the bottom of car, and now i hear a clicking sound whene ever the car is turning or going through a bump. my left muffler tail pipe is a little higher than my right pipe. not sure if i have bottomed out my struts or ...
2. i went through some big puddles in a bad rainy day and now the front of my car rattles:
a. the first few second when i start the car.
b. when i accelerate from 10 to 20 mph.
c. and when i make a turn..
3. my steering wheels is vibrating quite intensely, the tire pressure is ok...however, i am aware that the tires need to be changed.
4. the vibration coming from idling is quite intense, can you suggest what i should do?...i have changed my spark plugs..would a tune up help?
sorry, these are alot of questions....but hopefully you can shed some light on me...deeply appreciate your help. |
